Why do I keep getting FB login notifications every time my registered laptop reboots?

I was under the impression that Facebook would recognize the computer each time I log in from there, not send me another notification every time I have to reboot, as if it has never seen that computer before.

Facebook does not recognise any computers.

it's all done with cookies.

you must be somehow deleting the facebook.com cookie
every time you close the browser.
