Is it illegal to have an online store using Facebook?

I have seen a lot of online stores on Facebook and they are just using an ordinary profile (not a page). Will this violate any Facebook's rule?

First the term "illegal" means it breaks the law. Facebook is not the law, is not a country, state or government, so doing things on Facebook that break their TERMS is not "illegal". So no, not illegal.

no i dont think it would be, but you need to think about security because anyone in the world could be on facebook. people wont want to exchange payment infor or contact infor for the purpose of pay there because you can not guarantee that it is a secure website. how would you arrange for people to pay for purchases in your store unless they used a card, check or money order. how would they get it to you. how would they know they could trust you. how do you know you can trust them facebook is legal but it is not secure
