I not exactly sure what your course specifies, but you could discuss the socio-cultural perspective, and how you observe the relationships of family/friends everyday. For example, you observe how people interact with each other and the specific and distinct roles that each person takes in the household (ex. husband, wife, mother, child, etc) Noticing these specific roles/trends could be considered anthropology.

Also, you could talk about how you are always connected to the outside world, even at home, with the proliferation of internet and television. With internet, you can explore different people and ways of life.Talking about social networking like Facebook, Twitter, and pages like Yahoo Answers would also be interesting. These sites allow us to explore and keep up with societal trends and developments. With TV and internet you can observe the cultural trends of the society and evaluate the media's influence on our lives. This is anthropology at home because you can observe these cultural patterns from technology and the media from home everyday!

I hope this helps, sorry I don't remember many of the technical terms used in anthropology.
