Is it okay to post pictures of others on Facebook?
None of my family members know I have a Facebook accout. Is it okay for me to post some pictures of my new baby cousin and my sister and stuff like that without asking them? I would feel guilty doing it but everyone I know does.

You should never post anyone's picture on the internet without their permission.... especially other people's children. There are a lot of weirdos out there.

it is fine only your friends can see it and I know it is safe to put pics on there but if you think they'd care I guess don't do it but I put my aunt on there and she does not care so Yes it is OK!
Good Luck!

I think it would be ok.
Facebook, unlike Myspace, is relatively private. Only the people within your network (e.g. people you actually KNOW) can see the pictures you post, thus there isn't a huge risk of weirdos looking at the pictures.
I considered the same thing when posting pictures of my nephew. If you feel a bit awkward still, make sure your profile is set so that only people you have friended can actually view your profile.

Just because everybody you know does, doesn't mean you should possibly start a family conflict by doing so. What gain is there, other than peer pressure? Would you want someone to put something of yours on a website without your permission? I hope not. There is a code of ethics among mature people, and that is to not cross boundaries. Teenagers do it, and those on Facebook do it, but when you grow up, you will see that, just because someone else does something, common sense prevails for the mature people.
Don't do this just because everybody else is doing it. My neighborhood has gangs, set up just for this reason. Everyone belongs to a certain gang, so the next door neighbor boy thinks he should. But he forgets that last week one of them was killed...for belonging and doing the wrong thing.
Just be you. Post fun things, but nothing about a family member or yourself that may prove embarrassing later in life. These things don't go away, remember.
Again, who would be interested in your baby cousin, other than a momentary, isn't he/she cute by a friend who sees it? What about her privacy issues, later in life?
Be kind, and don't do it. And why is it such a secret that you have a FaceBook Account?
Think....peer pressure isn't all good, and being secretive will make you less trustworthy in many areas later on.
Is it really worth it?
