How do I attract more twitter followers?

I don't know I hardly ever use twitter and I have have more people following me every month.

Not quite sure, but maybe make some interesting statements each day, and follow those who have lots of followers. Maybe start to follow random people, and they may follow you back. I rarely use it, but when I do, I try to have an interesting, kind of poetic statement. I write when inspired. I don't have many myself, but I really am not searching, so the numbers stay low.
