I have both FaceBook and Twitter in place on my online business...and neither does anything for me....I run a 2+million per year business, and these networks are worthless as far as I can see. The sale of FB and Twitter as to joining up was strong, but they do nothing for me. I actually don't think they do anyone in business any good...they are social networks, not business. GW

I tweet for my own use, plus I make money on the side. I also promote my work (I'm a freelance writer). The thing is you have readers even if they don't follow. I only have 50-something followers, but other people also see me on http://twitter.com/Tobi_Is_Fab even if I don't know it.
Also, my sponsored tweets get me seen by others, so check out http://spn.tw/r4bTq if you're interested in getting paid for sponsors on Twitter.

Yes, Twitter is worth a try. In fact, you can ask Dell on how they've made huge profits out of engaging their customers via Twitter. Personally, I think Twitter is a better tool for business than Facebook.
