How does the Twitter/Facebook sync work?

I've been thinking of syncing my Twitter & Facebook accounts but I wasn't exactly sure how it works. If I sync them & tweet on Twitter does it automatically change the status on Facebook? What about Facebook, if I change my status update will it tweet as well? Help! I'm really confused & I would appreciate someone explaining how it works before I sync the two together. Thanks a bunch!

They will usually post the same thing on both accounts. So if you post something on twitter, it will also post it on your facebook. This is very common with celebrities such as NFL Star Hines Ward.
