I want to stop Facebook notifications to my email account.how do i do this?

I am being inundated with email notifications from my facebook account to my email account and want to stop this.

i think you should spam the emails that got sent in from facebook and the facebook emails will be sent to your spam... or you can go to facebook settings and i think there might be something there... not really sure

-Sign in, then pick "Account" in the upper right portion of your screen and select "Account Settings"
-Under the "Notifications" section of "My Account" is a whole slew of ways Facebook can notify you for various reasons. If you uncheck them all then Facebook will no longer notify you of anything (or you can, of course, customize your notifications).

Go to your account settings, select the notifications tab, and uncheck all check marks under the mail icon. Pain in the butt but worth it.
