how do I stop getting the application notifications on Facebook ?

i was wondering how i to stop getting the application notifications on facebook . like the Friend of the Day application , stuff like that ?

The setup is within your account settings and is a series of check boxes those checked will send notifications, those unchecked, last I knew, will not. Sorry to be a bit vague here, I can't remember exactly where to find these particular options though it is through account settings.

Check apps/website and see if they are there.

on right of that application there is a cross button click on it and select block this application and you are done
