Maury. I'm not kidding. But maybe you could hire a private investigator? Or look a few up in the yellow pages and ask them.

first try googling him (his name maybe plus some other bit of info about him - his home city or something) then you could try finding him on sites like myspace or facebook or linkedin. hope that helps.

U.S. census won't help you since the information isn't released to the public until after 72 years have elapsed. Do you know where he's from? Maybe do a local phone search in his hometown for people with the same last name and make a few calls to inquire if they are related and in touch (or know someone who might be). The only other option would be for you to hire someone to look for him going back through various public records from the time you last saw him until now. You can do a few searches online, such as SS death index if you have any of the pertinent information (DOB, birthplace, etc) to see if he's still around, try some of the online social groups (facebook, myspace, etc) to see if you can locate him in that manner or locate some of his personal friends from the time when you knew him to see if they can help you.

Ignore the public records search at the top - Go to the bottom of the page - find the state, then county that you think that he is in or has been in. The county recorders office through the grant or grantee section and sometimes you can find the criminal history online. there is also http://www.peekyou.com/ http://pipl.com/ Good Luck! |

How to proceed depends on what you know. If you know where he come from sometimes genealogy can help. You call people in that region in that town as well who have the same last name.
Again it depends on what you know and if you are willing to pick up the phone. |
