How to block notifications from one person on facebook?

How to block notifications from one person on facebook?
I want to stop receiving notifications on my news feed from one facebook friend, but I do not want to block or un-friend them. How would I do this?

Basically by going to the person's profile and clicking block, but this will remove them from your friends list and block all communication between you and that person

Click the X next to their post and it will remove the feed. Face Book will ask you if you want to when you click the X next to the post.

Go to your News Feed Page. Point you mouse on the right side of your friend's post, you'll see an "X" button. Then click "Hide all Post" to stop receiving notifications from your friend's post on your news feed.
