How do I turn off Facebook Notifications?

I am receiving email notifications for when someone posts something on my wall, but I am also receiving it as a notification on my Facebook page. I want to turn that off! I ONLY want to receive the notification to my email, NOT on my Facebook page. I can't figure out how to change it and the only information I can find is how to change the email settings...

You can't turn off notifications on your facebook page.

if you are receving facebook notification in your yahoo or MSn then you can block
when you open any email from yahoo in the bottom you see thier a box.
in this box click at unsubscribe then you are unsubscribed
