Is my Facebook hacked?

Okay so today I logged onto Facebook and I see 44 notifications pop up. Immediately I was wary of a possible hack or phish. However, when I looked through the notifications, they were all acceptances of friend requests to possibly the "People You May Know" section, as I recognized quite a few of the people I "added". Even then, the acceptances would not stop, and kept popping up. I realize there is no public email support for Facebook, but would anyone know how I could contact Facebook or know how to fix this unusual problem? Thanks.
