Can your friends see if you have put them in a category on facebook?

Some people have little lists of people on their profile, is this the friend categories or something different?

Unless you created a public group and added them i don't think they can tell.

if you mean lists as in they are listen as father, mother, sister, brother, daughter or son then if you list someone as a sister for example the other person has to accept it and then everyone can see. you can make friend categories in the edit friends part and put friends into for example work friends and no, no one would know, just means if you wanted to send a group message you could just click the work friends group.
