Is it possible my sister is pregnant with twins and not know about it?
She's 9 weeks pregnant and already showing this early.. she uploaded pics on facebook and already has a bump. Someone commented and asked if she might be having twins so im wonering that too. Our dad is a twin so its very possibe for her to be having twins too. She had a ultasound at 6 weeks. So is it possible that she's pregnant with twins and her & her doctor dont know yet?

Yes one twin can easily hide behind the other. i know people that didnt know they were having twins until the doc in the delivery room said there is another one

Your dad being a twin does not make it possible for her to have twins, women carry that gene. Many women are bloated in early pregnancy, and it will look like a bump from that. Don't be surprised if she isn't, doctors can usually catch that at 6 weeks.

I was big at 9 weeks and it went down. Its water retention. Either way she will know soon. The doctor will be able to tell from her weight and fundal height.

with my first i showed very early and only had the one baby. everyone made the same joke and said i was having twins.

it isnt any more possible she will have twins because youre dad is one. identical twin are not passed down and non identical twins can be but only by the woman in the family if there is a history of twins, as releasing two eggs at the same time can be hereditary.

it is possible but probably not. babys can be hidden on scans. she should get another scan around 12 weeks maybe they will detect a hidden baby then.
