On the applications tab at the bottom of the page, there is a little calendar square. Click it and it takes you to your events home page. On the top right corner is a button that says "Create New Event." Click that and it walks you through creating your event and inviting people.

Step1
First and foremost, you must have something going on. Perhaps it's a party, perhaps a concert, stand-up comedy show, who knows? You want your friends to know as quickly as possible, so you log onto your Facebook account.
Step2
Once you are logged into your main page you will see a tab to your left entitled "Applications." Down from "Applications" you'll see "Events." Click it.
Step3
In the right-hand corner you'll see a tab to "Create An Event." Select that tab.
Step4
Begin creating your event. Be sure to have a clever tag-line and give as much information as possible! Unless, of course, you're having an event where it may not be in your best interest to list as much information...There are other articles that describe creating events, this one is more geared towards the content rather than just the creation part, so let's go there...
Step5
So, let's begin with the 3 most important things: Title, Tagline and Photo. Having an alluring photo is important. Make sure the photo is relevant to the event, but always be sure to use a sense of humor, even if the event may not be all that humorous. That is, say your event is political, have a political cartoon as the photo or something of that nature. Bland, boring photos are no good.
Step6
Tagline!! No one ever takes this serious enough. You need a creative tagline; if you can't think of something good, ask your friends. It needs to be funny, at times random, short, blunt and always attention-grabbing.
Step7
Same rules apply for the title.
Step8
Once you are satisfied and are convinced you have an event that is worth people not only attending, but also reading about on the Internet, finish creating your event.
