How to get Yahoo avatar as avatar on here?

I made an avatar already, I just dont see where the button is to make it my avatar that everyone can see.

Your avatar can be a cartoon or a photo. You can also use your Facebook or Twitter avatar. For an animated gif you should make it your Twitter avatar first.

STEP 1.
Your profile is currently not hidden.
In order for your avatar to appear you must make your Yahoo Profile visible. That is done here:
http://profile.yahoo.com/y/settings/privacy/
There is no reason to hide your profile. Nothing appears unless you enter it and turn a switch on. The name can be anything you want.

STEP 2.
If you want to use your Facebook or Twitter avatar be sure to link the sites in the Profile options.

STEP 3.
To create a cartoon avatar first go to http://avatars.yahoo.com and create one.

STEP 4.
Go to your Yahoo Profile at http://profile.yahoo.com
Click on your avatar.
Upload one or choose an existing one.
The same avatar is used throughout Yahoo.

[There is currently a glitch. The cartoon avatar from step 3 is not appearing as a choice. Yahoo is making some changes and many avatars are not appearing. Be patient.]

After you create it and save it, click your current default avatar then click edit my preferences and you will see where to check use avatar.
