Can I remove a friend as a family member on facebook without him noticing?

Ok my friend and I did that stupid thing where we make each other brothers on facebook. I wanna remove it though. Will facebook notify him?

Nope. He'll only notice if he actually checks it.

Facebook won't notify him if you removed him from your family. that's like saying Facebook will notify them if you deleted them as a friend. the only way he will know you removed him from his family is if he goes to his "About" section and looks at his family list. There it will show your name in bold, black print with a default Facebook picture. He has to remove it from his if he doesn't want it there.
