How do you tell a friend her flaw is annoying?
Okay, I have a friend and I feel as if she calls , too much. She literally calls morning, noon, and night. But, to make matters worse, every time I am on the phone with her , her mother is cussing, her siblings are being loud and obnoxious. It just annoys me, I don't know what to do. I want to tell her , but i don't want to hurt her feelings. Any help??
P.S- You get 10 points. I just want some good advice and I need it fast.

It sounds like she calls you when she needs a break from her family- they are probably driving her nuts too. However, that doesn't make it ok for her to encroach on you constantly. If you feel comfortable doing so, talk to her about it. Let her know that you need time to yourself, and you are not the type of person who enjoys talking to someone on the phone several times a day. If you don't think you can do that, set something up with your family, so whoever answers the phone checks with you before letting her know you're available. If you don't want to talk to her, have whoever answered the phone give her excuses- you're in the shower, at the library, checking the mail, cleaning your room, you're grounded, etc. She'll get your subtle message- that you don't want to talk so much- but hopefully, won't get her feelings hurt.

omg i know how you feel i had a friend just like that. At first i would just avoid her calls or make up some excuse why i had to go. But she quickly got what i was doing and thought i just didn't want to be her friend any more. So I really don't think you should do that. Just tell her what's bothering you. Tell her you really don't like to talk on the phone to much and you feel like when she calls you have trouble concentrating on her and what shes talking about. Just tell her you would rather talk to her in person then over the phone. So that way you can give her all you're attention instead of just some of it.

Well if I were you i wouldn't tell her. I would occasionally say I can't talk right now. Eventually she should get the picture but if not just tell her your just to busy to talk 3 times a day and that you have other stuff to do. Say your really sorry. Be really nice about it and say Its hard to talk to you with all the screaming in the background. So she doesn't get mad you could suggest AIM or talking on Facebook or whatever you want to use. Hope I helped!
