Why do people like to post on Facebook that they're high, drunk and wasted?

I recently deleted a bunch of people because they were always posting stupid statuses saying that they're so wasted, getting drunk or are high as a mother-f****ker.

These are the same exact people who always talk about how much classier they are than other people. Yeah, like mentioning how drunk you were last night is real classy. *roll eyes*
