How could make my facebook stop sending me emails?

I tried to change my facebook settings so they won't send me emails whenever I get a notification but I failed. Any help? Thanks in advance.

Set your email up in such a way that the emails go directly to spam

At the top right, click the down arrow, then account settings.
At the left click notifications.
Scroll down a bit to All Notifications, click edit on any one of those.
Uncheck what you don't want to receive as a notification to your email.
