How to prevent seeing someone on facebook?

My previous boyfriend keeps coming up in my suggested friends and I just don't want to see him... every time I do I break down into tears. How can I keep from seeing him at all on facebook? Is there a way to do this?

Go to his profile and block him (scroll down it under his friends on left hand side)

I think if you keep spamming the "X" button on the corner it eventually stops appearing. If desperate, get rid of friends who have connections with him since that's how the friend suggestions work. Or otherwise, contact FB.

BLOCK HIM. I did this with a girl i dont like, she was always all over everyones status and pictures and i couldnt take it anymore. Go onto their page and press block person. U wont see him anywhere! its great

If you have friends that are friends with him, then it will automatically suggest it to you. One thing you can do is block his profile page, meaning .. Go to his profile page, and at the bottom left you will see something like Report/Block This Person, and just check the Block PERSON box, and you're all set, you won't see his profile again, it will look like it disappeared

IF profile is showing Suggested friends it means you have already removed him from your friends list. The reason is why is being is showing because some of your friends have mutual friend of that boy. so facebook suggest friends to add. Go and block the profile bottom left of his profile.
