Does it charge if I text twitter from my phone?

Okay so I just opened a twitter account. I want to text from my phone though? Will it charge me if I do? Or will it just be like a regular text message? Please help I need an answer asap!

set up your twitter with your mobile number, it will give you a number to text to. it should be just like a normal text message. nothing extra unless you use your phone to use internet to do it.

yes it charges more than other texts even if it doesn't send which in my experience it often doesn't.

it does not charge if you text your status to twitter.
i would know, i've been doing it forever
