im sceptical as i have heard about sikh girls getting involved with muslim and the main purpose of these muslim men is to take these girls away from their religion and covert them into islam. can someone let me know if they have experienced this or whether it is true?

Dear Sikhnee Jee,
Sut Sri Akal. There are no hard and fast rules about how people of different religions behave in a relationship. In fact, did you know that your Guru Nanak Saheb had created your religion in order to combine the faiths of both Muslims and Hindoos. My Muslim sister had married a Hindoo, in London and they are now living happily in Germany without there being any problem in their different faiths. Similarly my Muslim cousin and a few other people that I know have Christian wives, who have not changed their religion.

Hi,
4 years ago I was flirting with a muslim guy, it got serious and we got married and have had 3 beautiful kids, however the real problem in our relationship was when his father made me convert to Islam. I had no say in the matter, I'm not allowed to worship my Guru's and must now pray to Allah 5 times a day and wear a burkah. It's not a way of living. However, love overcomes these problems, NAT.

I honestly think you should ignore what happen, and i think your right about converting and stuff. BUT if you're really serious that get to know him for 3-4 years and don't hurry because it's your whole life decision. I'm a sikh girl too and i wouldn't get involved in this because you know how sikh parents and relative are??
Don't hurry... be patient and ask him if he can convert to sikhism for you and if he says yes than tell him to convert and if he really does then he loves you for who you are :-)
