You need to go to court and talk to the judge that issued the suspension.

Should have thought about that when you put your dick where it didn't belong.

Options in addition to the above: ride with friends, coworkers, family; hitch; public transportation (buses); moped; bicycle; skateboard; walk; work from home.

You pay the back child support and you'll get the license back. I'm sure your child's mother is having a harder financial time than you are with your child to support plus herself and no money coming from you. Sell the computer you're using now, your TV, anything else you have of value to get the money.

In the meantime, hitch rides with friends or take the bus. Time to man up. You seem to feel that having no license is unfair but withholding money from your child is just as unfair!! : /

You get a ride, take the bus, ride a bike, or even walk to go apply for work. Then, when you do start working, you start paying back what you owe. And after you have done this for a little while to show a history of making payment, you go back to court and request to have your license reinstated.

My question to you is this: What would you do if you had to raise the child yourself, and you had no license or car? You would do what ever it took to find a job, get to that job every day, and make the money to pay the costs of raising the child. So why is your situation different if you are paying child support to help with the cost of raising the child instead of paying directly the cost of raising the child?

Kinda makes you wonder what would have happened if you had only manned up and taken care of your child financially to begin with.

Get a bicycle and a job at McDonald's. Good luck. Next time you'll remember that your kids matter. If not to you, to the state, which will come back on you.

Why are there arrears? If there is a legitimate reason, such as unemployment, the obligor can still file for a reduction in them. Most Child Support obligors do not know there is free help from the state, by federal law, to obtain a modification. At the minimum, a motion should be filed to have any interest penalties set aside, which can double or triple the amount owed. Of the total media “reported” amount of child support owed, 83% if interest penalties and not unpaid child support. These links will teach what needs to be known about child support.

For 22 years, I have volunteered my time working with divorced/single fathers dealing in family law issues, such as child support, teaching them about what the states are not telling support obligors.
