can my ex go after my new wife for child support?
I am having hard times financially, but my wife is doing fine. We do not have joint finances, and so now I am wondering if my ex can go after my wife for childsupport. When I was working 2 years ago, I was alwasy paying my childsupport, but I got laid off, and have been searching for work ever since. I am even thinking about moving out of state just to find work. Are my wifes assest protected?

Your ex can try to guilt your new wife into paying the child support but she cannot get it legally just because you do not have joint finances.

Your wife is not responsible for the support of your children from other relationships. As long as you keep everything separate, you should be fine.

Have you gotten your support lowered? Child support is based on income, if your income goes down you can go back to court and get it lowered.

What she can do is take every penny from you. Then you have no choice but to starve or live on your wife's money.

Not specifically, but her income can be used in five state to set your child support amount.

For 22 years, I have volunteered my time working with divorced/single fathers dealing in family law issues, such as child support, teaching them about what the states are not telling support obligors.
