how to turn off status notifications for a friend on facebook?
Is there away to temporarily turn off status notifications or all notifications of someone on your friend list?
I do not want to block this person I just do not want notifications from them for a while.

if you do what the person below me said you dont block notifications from the person but from the application. go to your news feed if she comes up there should be a little button in the corner of their post that should let you block notifications from them.
