Judge David Grey Ross, Commissioner of the Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement publicly stated that the vast majority of men ordered to pay child support pays it in full.

Also, many of those refusing to pay are not related to the child they are required to support.

There is a percentage that cannot pay it in full, and those who cannot pay at all because they are indigent and do not the states are withholding knowledge that they provide free help to get the orders modified because by forcing men to go into arrears, they get to claim 15% in annual matching funds from the Feds under the 1989 Child Support Enforcement Act.

For 22 years, I have volunteered my time working with divorced/single fathers dealing in family law issues, such as child support, teaching them about what the states are not telling support obligors.

I think there are a lot of selfish, lazy, immature, irresponsible people out there who were not raised well and never learned to be mature or responsible. Having a child means you have to learn to sacrifice. Which means you need to give more then you get. Many people have children with people they should not and they have kids too young when they are not mature enough to handle it. Also many people are extremely selfish and only think of themselves.

My wife tried to destroy me with false claims of abuse and perversion, after which the courts and her lawyer found that they were unfounded and not 1 person would support them , even her own pastor , when i met her she had been on welfare for years, I worked my tail off to make a better life for our family for 13 yrs with almost no help from her by working or keeping up the household, now shes back on welfare where she started and im paying 650 per month. Yes ! we should all pay our child support, BUT it is frustrating that she coninues to be all none productive member of society and a piss poor example of a woman and mother to my kids. If the parent with custody can not provide thier share of the income needed to support the kids then the other parent should be considered for custody of the kids if they are found to be a good parent, FATHERS DESERVE THE RIGHT TO BE FULL TIME PARENTS !!
