Do you have to pay for the apps on blackberrys on PAYG?

I'm thinking about getting one for Christmas but can you get all the things like the twitter app and all the things people rave about on contract?
And BBM?

You say you will be going on PAYG,o.k.that's fine but you will need to get the Blackberry Internet Service>BIS,data plan,this will cost you £5.00 per month from your retained amount of monies
so you will need to budget a set amount per month.Once you have the BIS you are able to use the apps store,some are free,some you pay for,messenger is free once you have the data plan it is built
into your blackberry,and this is an encrypted service,this means it is a phone to phone service not
a person to person service,and therefore you will need to exchange pin numbers with whoever you
wish to chat with your pin number is on your phone,just go to Options,then click Status then click
on pin,it will then come up.....
