I need some sort of legal document that will uphold in court to prevent me from having to pay her anything involuntarily (i.e child support).
Maybe if i explain more. When a man and a woman get married, if the the man is paying child support, the wife can sometimes be held responsible if the man is paying is working. I don't want that to happen to me.

YOU aren't responsible for HIS child support obligation.

There is no legal document in existance that will do what you want it to.

You cannot be held responsible for his child support. If he goes into arrears, than joint assets can be attached, but not your wages. Also, in a few states, your wages come into play when calculating how much he has to pay.

In Massachusetts, it is also used to increase any alimony that he pays.

The best thing is for him to learn all his rights so that he does not go into arrears, even if he should lose his job.

For 22 years, I have volunteered my time working with divorced/single fathers dealing in family law issues, such as child support, teaching them about what the states are not telling support obligors.
