Tell her you will only add people that are your friends and you won't accept anyone as a friend that you don't know. Explain that all your info will be kept private and your profile page will also be private so only your fiends can see.

Tell her that you are not going to make friends with random strangers, and that you will be safe by not going to dangerous websites.

Tell her that its safer than MySpace.
On Facebook you can only add friends and they're the only ones who can see your info. Unlike MySpace there are NO stalkers onf Facebook I mean if you think about it, you only see bad things on the news about MySpace, NOT Facebook. |

tell her you will only add those that are yours cousins or friends and you can only be seen only by friends.
not friends of friends not everyone only friends and family and you will always decline those that you do not know. and dont put your information or name to the online public but your friends. |

Tell her that she's being overpretective,
Tell her that the internet and facebook has safety tools, so you can be very private and not give away any of your information. Tell her that ther's nothing to worry about and that all you're going to do is chat with your friends and stuff. |

Tell her that facebook profiles can be set on private and that no "stalkers" can find out personal information unless you put it on there for show.
Tell her that it wont effect your grades (i.e procrastination) and you'll even try harder in school to get good grades. (People get addicted to facebook *warning*) Tell her you'll only spend 20 or 30 min. at the most on facebook a day or every other day. If these don't work kiddo, I have no clue...
