Is it okay to tell my brother and aunt with a messege through Facebook?
That I'm pregnant with my second child?
I'm always nervous to tell them but I told everyone in person with the first one. It's the nervouseness and the fact I've been sick with a URI and don't want to get out in the cold weather but I'm ready to get it over with.

I think it would be nicer and more personal if you called them or told them in person.

Of course, we live in a technological age and you will also be telling the rest of your Facebook friends. There is no formal way to relay a message. It is your choice and you can never please everyone. A new baby is a big blessing and the whole world should know. Having a healthy baby and the father by your side for support is far more important.

We can use Facebook to write our most inner secrets and Yahoo Answers to ask very personal questions but we shouldn't use Facebook to inform someone of a pregnancy. Better yet, you should consider using a formal message service rather than the telephone because like Facebook the telephone is just another way of communicating.

Get real people, we don't live in a little box. What if the brother lives in Germany and the aunt live in Central America. Should she really meet them face to face?

Go figure!

Good Luck!

facebook is the cowards way of communicating with people. Try a phone call or face to face. Not wanting to face people destroys relationships.

I think that really depends on the deepness and seriousness of the message. It's not right to tell devastating news to them, unless you can't face it any other way. Pregnancy, no I would NOT tell them on face book. Most adults I know feel that's very offensive, especially if everyone else gets the message first and tells them before you personally talk to them.
