How do you retrieve a previous Facebook IM chat after you've logged off?
I need to retrieve a facebook IM chat that I had with my mother, I don't know how to get it back though. The only option it offers me if "clear chat history", i'm wondering if there's even any way to get the conversation back, please help me if you can.

Sorry, you can't get the conversation back. Facebook doesn't log chat conversations.

You click on her name when she is online. Your previous IM chat should pop up.

There's a company called JADsoftware ( http://www.jadsoftware.com ) that has a program called Internet Evidence Finder. It can search your hard drive for Facebook chat messages that are left behind on your computer, and I've had really good luck with it. It doesn't get EVERY message ever sent cause they aren't all left on your computer but it gets a lot.
