If you hide something from someone on facebook, will they be notified?

I want to hide a link from some people on facebook, will they notice that i hide it from them? Are they notified or anything?

There's no notification, but if you hide it from one person you'd better hide it from everyone else they know, otherwise if they happen to see their friend's or relative's pages they might see the difference. This stupid girl I knew on Facebook suddenly blocked her photos from me, but not from my wife, so I got into a a ridiculous argument with someone I'd only met a couple of times, and we haven't spoken since. Turned out she'd hidden her drunken photos from her family, which included me, but somehow not my wife. Dumb. Why even post them if they're embarrassing? Why even do it if you're ashamed of your behavior?
