Why do I hate socializing the "old fashioned" way?
I love to socialize via Twitter, Facebook, text, etc. But I hate to actually go out and see my friends in person. And I find it irritating to talk to them on the phone as well. I love my friends, but we all feel the same - we would rather socialize via technology. And I think this is totally normal and healthy. But some of my relatives (who are European) think this is nuts. What do you think?

on facebook etc your more confident when you talk, it slike hwn your drunk, you talk that way coz yuor not afraid and more confident.
i think old fashioned is the best way, coz later in the future, in interviiews, meeting new people, your not gonna be on facbook or anything, so you need to ejoy talking normally and be good at it.

I think facebook and twitter are ok, but in reality it's not healthy if you are not able to comfortably hold a back and forth in person conversation. You will need to be able to communicate with people face-to-face in various ways in real life - work, school, at the store...

I guess I've never understood how a computer can really show you the whole person (I know some people disagree with me.) I enjoy going out with my friends once in a while because I like to see their faces and know they are real. That's just me. I think it's ok to socialize using technology, but I think it's important to socialize in person too.
