How can I figure out my daughters facebook password?
My daughter is 11. We have told her she can not make a profile on facebook. She went behind our backs and made one at a friends house anyway. A friends mother alerted me that she had made a page. I made a page just to search for my daughter and found her page but it is private. I need to know who my daughter is talking to and she will not let me look. I know her email address but not the password for it. Any suggestions?

There's not much you can do... you can't just "figure it out" unless she chose a predictable password. Perhaps try talking to her, use a method of parenting other than deception.

If you get it deleted by reporting her, she will simply recreate it, and you may not know when she does.

You have to be 13 years old to sign up for Facebook. All you really have to do is report the profile for being an underaged user and Facebook will likely delete it just for that.

Please do not try to do that. She's only 11. If she ever finds out, she'll never forget it.
Gain her trust. Ask her to show her page. If you use Facebook, ask her to add you. Talk to her. Do not rush on anything.

If you find out she's doing something wrong. Deal with it with patience. Do not rush on anything.

To exactly answer your question - No, there is no way to figure any one's password.

Well, I am 11, and I do have a facebook, and it's alright with my family.
But if you want to erase her facebook, you either make a fake profile and try and find and add her and then report her for fake profile or underage.
If you know her well (as a Mother) then you should figure out her e-mail password by pressing 'forgot password' and answer the security question and reset her password.
Then when you've found out, press forgot password on facebook and send it to the e-mail.
Or, just simply delete her page.
I know 7-8 year olds who have facebook...Well, at least, I have facebook. I'm only 11 and facebook is pretty safe if she knows how to handle her privacy settings.
Although, give your daughter some free space, when she's about the age to attend to middle/secondary school, she's going to need to get a facebook to connect back to her old friends and chat.
Also, punishing your daughter isn't going to help either. You can either block the site, ban it from your IP or something, put netintelligence or a block wall to prevent her from going on it.
Also...I'm only 11...But I'm perfectly fine with facebook.
Although if you want to access her profile info, make a fake profile of (somebody) and then add her and check her stuff.
Your daughter should be allowed facebook though, but you should watch who she speaks to. I only speak to my family and friends and people who I know. It's best if you put high privacy up once you find out. She should be honest though, if she's got nothing bad to hide, why is she not showing you??
Oh by the way, don't be strict on her or she won't tell you. Allow her facebook now. Then when she gains your trust of facebook, she'd probably tell you then.
I had facebook since I was 9-10...Had MSN since I was 7..
And trust me I've learnt a lot from internet and websites...Hacking is a option for many people..So its best to keep ur privacy safe =)
email me if you want more info =)

Talk to her. Be firm. Tell her that it's for her own safety. Does she have her own laptop? If so, suspend her from using her laptop until she tells you her password. If not, ground her.
