How long should the kids be receiving child support, and who should get it?
Should the kids get it, or should the mom get it? Should the 23 and 22 yr olds know they are getting it? I was asked not to tell them anything about it, because their mom gets it, and they don't know it. I also found out they will be receiving it until they're 25yrs old.
Also, he is not wealthy. He works a lot and he earns the money. Its not coming out of a savings or anything other than his monthly pay check.
The adult children do not live at home.

The parent should get it. Child support is to Support a child, food, roof over their head, thing a child needs, clothes, etc.. If you give the money to the child, im sure they will just spend it foolish.
And i believe it stops at 18 (when they are adults)

Children should receive child support for as long as the supporting spouse agreed to pay it in the financial divorce decree. Normally support stops at 18 or when the child finishes high school. Other spouses agree to pay child support as long as the child remains in school, which is concluded upon graduation of college. I think that adults (23/22) who receive child support should be aware that they are receiving it Since it normally is not done, I would think they should know or have this information, since I'm sure they would want to thank their father. As for who receives it...the mother should receive it. It is meant to pay for shelter, food, school, etc.

For 22 years, I have volunteered my time working with divorced/single fathers dealing in family law issues, such as child support, teaching them about what the states are not telling support obligors.
