How would I get contact with someone from a closed adoption?

I'm 17. My younger brother has been adopted and I know of no way to contact him. Is there anywhere I can go or anyone I can talk to who can help me with this?

Not really unless you know his full legal name at this point. You can try Facebook, MySpace or just google his name to see what comes about.

For a closed adoption though the agency will not disclose information regardless of the type of request unless it is from a court order for something like knowing who the person is for medical reasons.

I think so, but you hvae to wait until he is over 18. Just be ready. If he has never known you, then he may not act the way you wold expect.

Actually you would have to ask your mother or father or whoever he was taken away from, because when he was taken away your mother/father was given court papers that has his address he was placed with. Trust me I know I was adopted after being taken away from my mother/father and they came to see my sisters and I about ten years later. I hope everything goes well for you.
