Is it weird that I want to find my father?
I don't even think he knows that I exist, but my father raped my mother when she was 13 (he was a family friend). I don't want to build a relationship or anything like that....I could careless about getting to know him. I'm just curious as to what he looks like.

Weird man. I don't know if I'd want to meet that guy the did that to my mom. I was in a similar situation except my father didn't rape my mom. They divorced when I was 1 and he disappeared. I'm 34 and found him on facebook last year. I understand your curiosity though. It's not strange at all. To finally see all your features on another person is a real mind trip. Just make sure you think of your mother if you do go searching for him. It may hurt her feelings if she found out you were looking for the guy who raped her.

Its not weird. It's natural to want to know where you come from, who your father is, what he looks like, what's he's doing now, does he have any other children.

Finding him means opening up the can of worms. Are you ready for the emotions to flow? The drama to start? Make sure your ready for anythign and everything before you drudge it all up.

Good luck!

Did he ever get arrested for that? Did he go to jail for it? I understand that you are
curious but I feel you need to sit down and weigh everything. If you do find him then you will bring up old issues. He might be violent still and perhaps see you as a threat.
Sometimes it is best to leave the past in the past. If you must know then since he was a family friend, there might be some pictures taken of him. Ask.
