How to convince my parents to let me have a Facebook?

My parents won't let me have a Facebook because of what happened to my friend. My friend lost all her friends because of what she posted on Facebook. Well she last all her girlfriends . . Other than that I am responsible and my parents know that. My mom when I asked her she said she doesn't want people take things the wrong way please help

In order to convince them, you need to answer their issues.

If their issue is with what happened to your friend, convince them why it won't happen to you. Look at security and privacy settings on Facebook, and discuss them with your parents.
