Mac OS X Lion won't show dock notifications?
For a number of different applications in my dock, they're supposed to have a small red notification number in the dock if they have some task I need to complete. For example, the mail app should be showing me my unread message count, but it isn't. I have selected the 'display all unread mail in dock' option, but it doesn't appear to do anything. I have another application which is supposed to notify me if I have an assignment due, which it does. But only while the application is running. Once I quit out, the notification icon changes. My app store notifications, on the other hand, work just fine, and tell me that I have 3 available installs. But that appears to be the only app that this feature is working for...I'm not quite sure where this option to change this would be located... But if you have any tips, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
