What is a REALLY good reason why a teenager should have a laptop?

What does he care about? Would he like it if you learned to write websites or program in Visual basic? Find something that HE wants, so you can get what YOU want.

To be honest, there isn't a "really good reason" why you should get a laptop.

Best thing I could think up would be for you to tell him you're a spoiled brat that deserves one and see what his reaction is..

Unless you don't have a desktop for schoolwork and aren't going to college, you don't NEED a laptop. You can get by with a desktop- so do.
