How do I get facebook messages sent to my phone?

I added the facebook mobile, but with the way they have facebook settings now, I don't understand. But I know I have my phone activated to receive notifications. Except none of my messages will be sent to my phone.Help?
I don't have an app for this, and is it because I'm logged in on an ipod or no?
I've also checked mobile settings - put my number and recieve a confirmation code in a text then typed it in. all i get are friend requests or when people poke me but no messages.

That is the only down side to having facebook mobile. It depends on what server you have as well. If you have verizon wireless, then maybe you should call them. But, if you don't , it shouldnt work.

go to account settings and check mobile settings then put your number and you should recieve a confirmation code in a text then type it in
