Can you still use Facebook notifications for free if visiting another country?
If you have an unlimited texting plan in the US, can you still you still use facebook sms for free if in another country?

Facebook won't charge you. Your phone company probably will (for any SMS received while roaming on another network)

NO. unless your plan says you can use your phone in another country, it's gonna charge you up the wazoo for incoming texts etc.
