What is the difference between Facebook and Myspace?
I've heard that Myspace isn't that safe so why is Facebook safe then? What makes Facebook Safe and Myspace not safe?

With the Privacy Settings, you can change them in Facebook so that your profile does not appear in a search, whereas in Myspace you cannot do that.

Also, there have been many claims that in Myspace 'private' profiles are visible by anyone.
There are also many more privacy options in Facebook, such as selecting individuals to view or not view your photos.

Facebook is much better. (:

They're both safe, but MySpace has way more spam while Facebook on the other hand spends a lot of money to get rid of spammers. In addition to Facebook being WAY MORE ORGANIZED, people make problems for themselves when they attempt to customize their page or whatever. They give passwords to random sites to get the backgrounds. Lastly, Facebook has more privacy options and uses better technology to filter out problems.

I hate myspace mostly due to the fact that it's cluttered up with spam thus making it ugly and it's also unorganized.

Myspace I use to have it, been working in IT since 1999 been to college and learned from work experience mostly how to answer you on this issue.

Myspace is really bad about this any one user can copy and paste an HTML and XML into their account and cause malware mainly trojans have been the common issue. Trojans most people do not realize how harmful they are. Trojans refers to that "Trojan Horse" yes the historical event. Unknownly they get this code not knowing any thing about the Hyper Text Markup Link for example and cause the spread of malware. Myspace user goes to see thier friends photos, listens to music on their main page, or any other other reason to load that primary aka main pagee and now you increased the risk of malware.

Do you really want to scan your computer every day after visiting Myspace? (Rhetorical Question).

Malware is a general term that refers to virus, trojans, adware, etc..

Facebook is undergoing many changes to prevent 3rd party software such as the quizes and games that are used from selling their information. You do have the options in Facebook (aka FB) to deselect those options and prevent any quiz or games on there until they resolve this issue completey. As for FB they do not sell your information. They do not have HTML issues to deal with like you would if you reviewed any information on your friends pages.
