Can someone give me some reasons why i should delete my facebook account?

Why do we give a damn if you should delete your FB? What does this have to do with relationships?

I'll give you the reasons I deleted MY facebook.

It takes too much time.. and I stopped using it because of that. It drives me nuts how people spend their entire lives on there when you could actually HANG OUT with the people!

It's turned into a liking contest.. I remember way back when, people's posts and photos only got like 30 likes and that was considered a lot.. but now it's like over 200! It's very irritating!

People post about the stupidest things. They post way too often.. and about dumb things people don't care about like "over Sammy's house"... wtf.

We lived just fine without facebook. I remember that before facebook.. I was perfectly fine with my cellphone and that was it.

There are better social networks. So it seems like there are three types of people. The people who have a facebook because they like the photos. The people who have a facebook because they like to see what people say. And lastly the people who have a facebook because they like both. For the first two.. there are much simpler social networks for both those things.. twitter and instagram. I like instagram. It's super quick.. you just pop it open on your phone.. take a look.. and then go with your life. It doesn't take much thought.. and there aren't people obnoxiously complaining about their lives.. usually lol. It doesn't eat up hours of your life.

The ads.. all this "look who bought these shoes" and farmville stuff is incredibly annoying.

I won't have the temptation to stalk people. I'm not going to lie.. and everyone does it. We all stalk people on facebook. The people we like, the people we hate.. etc. I have a boyfriend as well. We're 16... If I had a facebook I would be paranoid about what he's doing, who he's talking to, and why that girl liked his photo. I'm not clingy.. but facebook turns me into something I don't like! While I'd like to know what he's doing... I also don't. He's one of those guys who likes to 'like' all those "like for truth" statuses. A lot of the people who do them are girls. I know he would never ever cheat on me or talk to another girl.. I trust him and we've ben friends for a long time. But if I were to go on his wall I would probably get upset.. over nothing obviously.. but still. I don't want to see it.

People can't stalk me. The truth is that not everybody is going to like you. I know that I used to go on facebook with friends and be like "oh that girl is such a bitch".. I realize that's wrong and I don't do it anymore.. but I'm sure some girls do it to me as well. So.. now they can't stalk my pictures.. easy as that.


It's just not fun anymore.. again with the adds.. how people have over 2,000 "friends" (I know I did).. how people just seek attention.. etc. I don't like it. All social networks seem to crash and burn after a certain amount of time.. remember myspace? Well... I think facebook's time may be coming to an end.. maybe not now.. but I think it is really starting to go down. I don't want to go down with this ship lol.

Since I don't have a facebook.. I realize I have a lot of better things to do. I have an emergency backup facebook.. only to talk to my boyfriend when our cell tower goes down (that happen which is why I made it lol). But that's basically it. I never go on it. I mean.. when I go to college.. if there isn't something better than facebook by then... I'll probably reboot mine or make a new one so I can keep in touch with people.. but other than that.. no. It's stupid. I know a lot of people who are deleting theirs.

Don't keep yours just to keep an eye on your girlfriend. You should be able to trust her enough to not have to do that, and if you can't, then is it worth having a relationship with someone like that? If you want to delete it, delete it.
