Is this a nice thing to say to my friend whos dad just passed away?
So this girl in my grade (9th grade)'s father passes away today and everyone is leaving little messages on her facebook wall... Do you think this sounds good? All suggestions would be great!!

"I am so sorry for your loss. I can't even begin to imagine what you're going through right now.. But you are in my thoughts and things will only get better <3"

Thanks!

I wouldn't say things will only get better. Cuz then she will b like-wtf how are things going 2 get better-my dad just died...
Try you and your family are in my thoughts. And if it were me, I personally wouldn't want that 2 b posted on my wall. Cuz then everytime Id get online it would smack me in the face. The overwhelming pain that is. An email is private and I think that b better cuz then she'd feel like u really cared and wasnt 1 of the crowd u know?

Hmmm... well... it sounds perfect other than the last part. If she is in a state of depression bcuz of her loss, she most likely doesn't want u to say, "things will get better". Strange, i know. But it's true. When a loved one of mine died, I just wanted hugs and time to cry, not ppl saying it's ok or things will get better. If I were u id say, "I am so sorry for your loss. I can't even begin to imagine what you're going through right now.. But you are in my thoughts and prayers. If there's anything u ever need, don't b afraid to ask, I'm here for u.""
Or, "I am so sorry for your loss. I can't even begin to imagine what you're going through right now.. But you are in my thoughts and prayers." (Or just in my thots, but saying prayers is nice whether ur religious or not.)
Or, "I am so sorry for your loss. I can't even begin to imagine what you're going through right now.. But you are in my thoughts ans I'm here for u"
Mayb even buy her some chocolate to give her the next time u see her. Something little and nice. But don't seem to sad around her or act like u feel to bad for her. Sometimes, that can make sum1 feel worse. Saying less is more in these situations, especially if she already has so much support from other ppl n u aren't best friends.
This is rly nice of u, I hope my advice helped! Good luck, and I hope everything works out alright for ur friend <3
