What happens when you add someone who has deactivated their account on facebook?
He used to be my friend on facebook then he deactivated his account ( and I checked he really did deactivated his account and didn't block me) but then I went through my messages with him and clicked on his name which was now (facebook user) and i clicked add as a friend button.. Now what happened? Will that person get a notification or email since he deactivated his account or what? I don't get why is there an add as a friend button when that person has deactivated his account??!!!!

Add as friend button will not show up for a deactivated account. It's possible that they deactivated their account, then later reactivated and removed a bunch of friends, including you.

When an account is deactivated it pretty much doesn't exist. It's impossible to add a person while the account is deactivated. If you saw the add as friend button his account has been activated and you've been deleted

You can't add someone that deactivated their profile.

If they deactivated the profile is like they don't exist and never did.
