Well, Friends has normal people, and Facebook has a mixture of Normal people and famous people.

I prefer Facebook

Facebook appeals to younger people; Friends Reunited seems to be aimed at older people.

facebook is a completely free service where as friends reunited is only free up to a certain point. if you find someone you know and you want to send them an email friends reunited will charge you for the pleasure. facebook is a lot easier to use no matter what age you are.

I use Facebook and they have just changed the whole layout. Everyone seems to hate it including me. It's not very user friendly anymore even though it's free.

Why fix something that ain't broke???

I personally use FR but my kids use Facebook much more. I think FR is aimed at older people and I have made contact with some long lost friends and acquaintances through it but I think Facebook probably gives you more scope.
I would just add that both sites are open to abuse and I have had several false profiles posted on FR by some weird person obviously with an axe to grind for some reason. The site dealt with it very quickly though. My daughters Facebook account got corrupted by the same person in rather a sinister way so I would always urge caution when using any site which you put personal details on and be careful who you allow access to.

I use mostly facebook. If I can't find someone on facebook I'll look on friends reunited. Friends reunited is more for finding old class mates, old work friends etc. Facebook is better as it has more stuff to do.
