Neka, one thing is for sure, without free speech we wouldn't have the internet as we know it today. We are given certain permissions as a citizen and the ability to speak what is on our mind is a novel one. However, some countries believe that it is one of the US's greatest faults. Our free speech allows us to have the government that we have today, the internet (facebook, twitter, etc). Even Socrates argues freedom of speech.
